Canada’s Volunteer Awards is a national volunteer recognition program. Canadians use an online system to nominate individuals, not-for-profits and businesses and assess nominations. In addition, program employees use the online system to manage information, produce statistics and communicate broadly with external stakeholders. Currently, the online system is being re-designed.
We strongly encourage candidates to submit their applications on-line. Please note that this process will ONLY be used to staff positions in Gatineau, QC. Applicants are encouraged to apply only if they are able to relocate in the region.
Following are some of the benefits associated with applying on-line:
• Candidates can create and manage their accounts in the Public Service Resourcing System (PSRS) and apply to job opportunities as long as an internet connection is available.
• Candidates can create a profile and retrieve stored application(s) (personal information, covering letter and résumé) previously submitted and modify them, if necessary, before submitting the application.
• Candidates can modify their application/resume at any time BEFORE the closing date indicated on the job advertisement.
NOTE: In order to have your application considered, all screening questions must be answered for a maximum of 4000 characters per question. Candidates must provide CONCRETE EXAMPLES which demonstrate how they meet the education requirement and the experience factors listed in the essential qualifications and asset qualifications. The intent of this process is to staff one position on a determinate basis (12 months with a possibility of extension).
A pool of qualified candidates may be established and may be used to staff similar positions within ESDC across Canada with various position titles, language and security requirements

EDUCATION
Secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
EXPERIENCE
Significant* and recent** experience in managing a multidisciplinary teams for the realization of IT (Information Technology) related projects.
Experience in providing strategic advice, both in writing and verbally and recommendations on complex issues to senior management.
Experience in developing and maintaining relationships with a wide range of clients, partners and stakeholders.

Experience in managing project’s budget.
Experience in using Microsoft Project.
*Significant experience is defined as experience acquired over a period of approximatively (2) years.
**Recent experience is defined as experience acquired within the last five (5) years.
