You will join a dynamic team of engineers and scientists working in the space environment. You will be asked to act as an expert and produce prototypes and test components that require being versatile and being able to work with all machine tools of the workshop. These prototypes will be used inside laboratories or in space.

This process will be used to staff 1 permanent position. A pool of qualified candidates will be established and could be used to staff similar positions whose length, linguistic profiles and security profiles may vary.

Your résumé.
Obtain a Diploma of Collegial Studies (DCS) or an Attestations of College Studies (ACS) from a recognized college, CEGEP or technical institute, in mechanical engineering techniques.
OR the combination of a Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS) as a machinist AND a diploma of professional specialization attestation of CNC programmer machinist.
OR an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience relevant to the position.
ASSETS
Experience with Computer Assisted Design (CAD) software for design, programming (Code G), drafting, file translation to Computer Assisted Manufacturing (CAM) software format and in the set-up and operation of Numerical Control (NC) machine tools.
Experience in modeling, programming and Computer Assisted Manufacturing (CAM) of a complex part.
The acquisition of experience related to the position in a space context (industrial or other) will constitute an asset.
Experience with precision sheet metal work.
Experience in welding, MIG, TIG, arc, torch and others.
*Experience is defined as the performance of duties related to the specific criterion for a given time or within the learning program of a recognized college, CEGEP or institute, during an internship or summer job.
Bilingual - Imperative (BBB/BBB)
Information on language requirements
Knowledge with Computer Assisted Design (CAD) software for design, programming (G Code), drafting, file translation to Computer Assisted Manufacturing (CAM) software format and in the set-up and operation of Numerical Control (NC) machine tools.
Knowledge of machine shop safety practices.
Knowledge of modeling, programming and Computer Assisted Manufacturing (CAM) of a complex part.
Knowledge in mechanical manufacturing, of principles, techniques, methods and processes related to lathes, cutters, drill, press-folders, shears, and both conventional and CNC milling machines
Knowledge in materials and their characteristics and methods for finishing a surface.

Note: this knowledge will be evaluated for the candidates who did not have this experience.
