Work environment

This position is located in a law enforcement environment which includes regular contact with uniformed and armed police officers.

Intent of the process

Anticipatory. A qualified group of candidates may be identified and may be used to staff future vacancies (including similar positions, on a casual, term, or indeterminate basis, at full or part time hours) located in Metro Vancouver, the Fraser Valley or Fraser Canyon, BC. Once established, the qualified pool will be valid for a period of one year and may be extended.

The intent of this process is to establish a pool of qualified candidates inclusive of Public Service (PS) employees and Civilian Members (CM); for various positions with various tenures, various security profiles and various language requirements.

Should a CM be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to another category for the member.
