The intent of this selection process is to staff one position on an indeterminate basis. A pool of qualified or pre-qualified candidates may be established to staff similar positions with various language requirements and various tenures (indeterminate, term, deployment, acting, secondment or assignment) within Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada.
The immediate need is Bilingual imperative CBC/CBC. However, the pool of qualified candidates that will be established may be used to staff similar positions within ISED with various linguistic profiles.

EDUCATION :
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in accounting, business administration, commerce, finance or some other specialty relevant to the position AND eligibility for a recognized professional accounting/auditing designation/certification.
EXPERIENCE :
• Recent* and significant**experience in conducting external audits of corporations.
• Experience in customizing audit programs, methodologies and strategies.
• Experience in reviewing financial audit working paper files.
• Experience in writing correspondence for senior management.
• Experience in managing human and financial resources
* Recent” means experience acquired within the past five years.
** Significant is defined as the depth and breadth of experience normally associated with performance of the duties for a minimum of three years.

ASSET QUALIFICATION:
- Possession of a professional certification or designation (CPA or CIA).

- Experience in conducting audits with a Public Chartered Accounting Firm or Audit Service Canada (formerly known as Consulting and Audit Canada) or conducting audits on government Contribution Agreements.
- Experience in preparing briefing notes for senior management
