This position is located in Iqaluit, Nunavut. The salary range for these positions is from
$94,121 to $107,619, plus northern allowance (from $19,000 to $31,000 per year) and vacation travel assistance (approximately $2,000-$3,000 per person (i.e. per employee and each of the eligible dependants), twice per year).

Anticipatory staffing process. The intent of this process is to create a pool of qualified candidates to staff similar positions within Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs, and other federal departments and agencies in the Nunavut.

EDUCATION:
A secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
Note: Acceptable experience or training in a field relevant to positions in the group is required when the education qualification specified for the position being staffed is a secondary school diploma or approved employer alternatives.
EXPERIENCE:
• Experience in leading multi-disciplinary projects or in leading a team.
• Experience in networking and consulting with various stakeholders.
ASSETS QUALIFICATIONS
EXPERIENCE:
• Experience working in a cross cultural environment, specifically as it relates to Inuit culture and values.
• Experience in managing financial and human resources.
ABILITIES:
• Ability to communicate in Inuktut.

• Knowledge of the current priorities or challenges for the Department, especially as they relate to the North.
• Knowledge of general issues related to the territory of Nunavut such as economic, social, cultural, environmental, constitutional, and political issues.
• Knowledge of the role and responsibilities of the Nunavut territorial government.
