This process will be used to staff one (1) position on an indeterminate basis in Ottawa, Ontario.

A pool of qualified candidates will be established and may be used to staff similar positions within the Health Portfolio with:

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

Education:

Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in economics, sociology or statistics AND a specialization in epidemiology or public health or another relevant health discipline.

Notes:
Candidates must always have a degree.

The courses for the specialization must be acceptable and may have been taken at a recognized post-secondary institution, but do not necessarily have to be part of a degree program in the required specialization. The specialization may also be obtained through an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

Experience:

1. Experience conducting independent and collaborative research in sociology, public health or epidemiology
2. Experience conducting* literature reviews of published articles**.
3. Experience chairing meetings or working groups with stakeholders

Notes:
*Conducting may include screening or data extraction or evidence synthesis or interpretation.
**Need to have conducted literature reviews of at least two (2) different topics.
