We are currently looking for dynamic, dedicated, and innovative employees to be part of the growing team of Information Technology (IT) professionals that will directly support our future.
The Canada School of Public Service is a small organization (approx. 600 employees). Through its mandate, it plays a key role in all departments of the federal public service and provides its employees with a workplace where learning and Professional development are valued.
To staff two (2) indeterminate positions. A pool of qualified candidates resulting from this process will be established and may be used to fill similar positions with various tenures and different linguistic profiles (bilingual imperative BBB/BBB, English or French Essential) within the Canada School of Public Service.
The pool may be used to fill positions in other organizations within the core public administration.

EDUCATION
Successful completion of two years of an acceptable post-secondary educational program in computer science, information technology, information management or another specialty relevant to the position to be staffed.
NOTES:
Indeterminate period incumbents of positions in the CS group on May 10, 1999, who do not possess the education prescribed above are deemed to meet the minimum education standards based on their education, training and/or experience. They must be accepted as having met the minimum education standard whenever this standard is called for when staffing positions in the CS group.
EXPERIENCES
Significant* and recent** experience in enterprise application development in one or many of the following technologies: Java, .net, PHP, Cognos, TM1, SSIS.
Experience in enterprise database development in one or many of the following technologies: SQL, PL/SQL T-SQL, data warehousing tools.
Experience in configuring and deploying applications on servers or desktops.
Experience in maintaining and supporting complex*** IT applications.
*Significant experience is defined as depth and breadth of experience normally associated with the performance of those duties for a period of approximately two (2) years.
**Recent experience is defined as experience normally acquired within the last five (5) years.
*** A complex IT application refers to an initiative with one of the following characteristics:
• represents a large number of stakeholders with diverse interests (more than 2 stakeholders);
• is considered critical to fulfilling the mandate of the organization;
• a multi-platform set of technologies requiring integration;
• a multi-tier diverse set of technologies requiring integration;
• user base of more than 1000
ASSET QUALIFICATION
Experience working with one or many of the following technologies: Web (e.g. HTML5, CSS, JavaScript), Content Management Systems (e.g. Drupal), Learning Management Systems (e.g. Saba, Moodle), Business Intelligence (e.g. Cognos), Enterprise Services (e.g. web services, service bus, service oriented architecture).
Various language requirements
