Your résumé.
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in aquatic, biological or natural science, with a specialization in a field relevant to the position.
At least one year of experience in conducting scientific activities and writing scientific reports.
Experience in statistical analyses of different ecological subjects.
Experience in using programming languages for quantitative analyses of biological or other data (e.g., R, Matlab, ou SAS).
Experience in fieldwork, working in isolated camps, in boats or aircraft.
A post-graduate degree from university in a field associated with the function of the position.
A university degree in statistics or a related field.
Experience in publishing in a scientific forum, involving a peer review by experts, including at least one publication as first author in one of the following fields: habitat selection, predator-prey relations, population dynamics, analyses of movements, or diet modeling using stable isotopes or other chemical tracers.
Experience in the quantitative analyses of complex data of marine mammals.
Experience in the quantitative analyses of complex data of aquatic species.
Experience in in development and maintenance of databases.
Experience in population dynamics modeling.
Experience in the quantitative analyses of complex data in the field of habitat selection.
Experience in modeling of predator prey relationships.
Experience in the quantitative analysis of movement data.
Experience in modeling diet using stable isotopes or other chemical tracers.
Experience in working from small boats, airplanes, helicopters or large vessels.
Experience in presenting and explaining science advice to varied clients.
Have completed or accept to complete a course on «Experimental Fish» in accordance with certification by the Animal Welfare Committee of the Maurice Lamontagne Institute, Fisheries and Oceans Canada.
Have completed or accept to complete a course to obtain a permit for detaining and acquiring firearms.
Accept and be capable of using firearms with the aim of killing marine mammals as part of sampling programs.
Accept and have the capacity to work aboard various platforms including helicopters, small planes, and boats of various sizes as required.
Have completed or accept to complete training in the theory and practical aspects of driving heavy vehicles and towing « Program of conformity for drivers of Fisheries and Oceans Canada ».

Medical fitness in accordance with certification by Health Canada.
Accept to travel and to work outside of normal working hours.
Accept and be able to work at sea or in the field in remote or isolated environments and under primitive conditions (e.g. camping) for periods of up to 6 weeks consecutive weeks, and for periods that could exceed 10 weeks per year.
Accept or be qualified to operate small vessels in accordance with certification by Transport Canada or accept to follow and succeed in acquiring this certificate.
