- Please note that to be eligible for the FIN Program, applicants must be successfully screened for employment readiness by a partnering Immigrant Serving Organization (ISO) no later than April 13, 2018. - When you apply, you must have been a permanent resident or a Canadian citizen for 10 years or less counting from the day you became a permanent resident to the day you apply.
- For candidates with education earned outside Canada, assessment of foreign credentials is not a mandatory requirement for participation in the FIN Program but it is highly recommended.

A response to a text question addressing the following:
Education:
ED1. Successful completion of two years of an acceptable post-secondary educational program in computer science, information technology, information management or another specialty relevant to the position to be staffed.
Experience:
EX1. Experience in the development, delivery and support of IM/IT infrastructure
EX2. Experience analyzing business or client requirements
EX3. Experience providing support to IM/IT activities or projects for multiple clients
EX4. Experience installing, configuring and troubleshooting servers and desktop computers
EX5. Experience installing, configuring and troubleshooting local area networks
Asset Education:
AED1. A degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with specialization in one of the following: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Programming, Computer Technician, Information Management, Information Systems, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Software Development and Engineering, Systems Science and Analysis or Web Development and Design
Asset Experience:
AEX1. Experience in web content management and development
AEX2. Experience with Unix/Linux operation systems
AEX3. Experience with the installation, maintenance and administration of Microsoft SCCM
AEX4. Experience with the installation, maintenance and administration of server software such as Apache Tomcat, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.

Operational requirements may vary depending on the position that is being staffed.
Other requirements or qualifications may be considered by hiring organizations.
- Reliability or Secret security clearance depending on the requirement of the position. This factor is not used at the pre-selection stage. The hiring Department is responsible for the security clearance process.

- You cannot submit your resume with your application. You will be asked to submit your resume at the assessment stage.
- A written exam may be administered in some cases.
- Interviews and tests will be conducted at the location of the employer's choice during June, July and August. If you do not attend assessments at the scheduled date and time, your application might be rejected. Candidates will be given at least 48 hours’ notice of interview and must be available.
- Tests may be administered during the day and evening.
- When answering the pre-screening questions, you must provide specific examples to clearly demonstrate how you meet the qualifications (education and experience, essential and asset). During the initial screening process, the Screening Board will be reviewing the applications to assess if the required qualifications have been demonstrated by candidates. Invitations to interviews will be based on the screening results.
- References could be sought by employer for candidates who are successful in the process.
- Receipt of applications will not be sent; only candidates successful in the screening process will be contacted.
- You may have to provide proof of your educational credentials.
- You will be asked to provide your proof of permanent residency or Citizenship.
- Please note that travel or relocation expenses will NOT be reimbursed by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada or any other hiring departments/organizations.
- The Immigrant Serving Organization indicated in your application will be contacted to verify that you were screened.
- If successful, your application may be shared within IRCC and may be shared with other hiring Federal Government departments, agencies and crown corporations, and other participating provincial and municipal sector organizations for potential employment opportunities.
- Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada's management may choose one or more Asset Qualifications at the pre-screening stage to determine the number of applicants who will advance to the following stage of the selection process.
- This selection process will be used by various departments, agencies and organizations.
Preference will be given to veterans and to Canadian citizens, in that order.
