- Please note that to be eligible for the FIN Program, applicants must be successfully screened for employment readiness by a partnering Immigrant Serving Organization (ISO) no later than April 13, 2018. Education:
ED1. Successful completion of two years of secondary school
EX1. Experience providing clerical support services and/or dealing with the public to provide basic information in a client service environment
EX2. Experience in file set-up and records management
EX3. Experience using Microsoft Office including Word and Outlook or equivalent software
EX4. Experience formatting, developing and/or distributing various documents
Asset Education:
AED1. Secondary School Diploma
AED2. Degree from a recognized post-secondary institution or post-secondary diploma
Asset experience:
AEX1. Experience in assisting a manager or director in an office setting
AEX2. Experience in managing calendars and preparing materials for meetings
AEX3. Experience in making travel arrangements including processing travel claims, in a work environment
AEX4. Experience in providing administrative support related to projects and/or initiatives (such as coordinating tasks and monitoring progress)

- A written exam may be administered in some cases.
- Interviews and tests will be conducted at the location of the employer's choice during June, July and August. If you do not attend assessments at the scheduled date and time, your application might be rejected. Candidates will be given at least 48 hours’ notice of interview and must be available.
- Tests may be administered during the day and evening.
- When answering the pre-screening questions, you must provide specific examples to clearly demonstrate how you meet the qualifications (education and experience, essential and asset). During the initial screening process, the Screening Board will be reviewing the applications to assess if the required qualifications have been demonstrated by candidates. Invitations to interviews will be based on the screening results.
- References could be sought by employer for candidates who are successful in the process.
- Receipt of applications will not be sent; only candidates successful in the screening process will be contacted.
- You may have to provide proof of your educational credentials.
- You will be asked to provide your proof of permanent residency or Citizenship.
- Please note that travel or relocation expenses will NOT be reimbursed by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada or any other hiring departments/organizations.
- The Immigrant Serving Organization indicated in your application will be contacted to verify that you were screened.
- If successful, your application may be shared within IRCC and may be shared with other hiring Federal Government departments, agencies and crown corporations, and other participating provincial and municipal sector organizations for potential employment opportunities.
- Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada's management may choose one or more Asset Qualifications at the pre-screening stage to determine the number of applicants who will advance to the following stage of the selection process.
- This selection process will be used by various departments, agencies and organizations. Please note the positions being advertised for St-John's (NF) and Halifax (NS) are not for IRCC.
