Reporting to the Senior Policy and Chief Results Advisor, the successful candidates will:
Provide project leadership and expertise in the conduct of research and analyses of policy issues through the monitoring of the incidence, nature of enquiries, the analysis of case decisions and precedents from which conclusions may be derived relative to policy development priorities.
Conducts statistical analyses and produces statistical reports based on data from the PSIC Case Management System.

Specifically, the Office of the Public Sector Integrity Commissioner of Canada enhances and improves oversight of government operations by providing public servants and members of the public with a process for receiving and investigating disclosures of wrongdoing in the federal public sector. It reports founded cases of wrongdoing to Parliament and makes recommendations to chief executives on corrective measures. The Office also provides a mechanism for public servants and former public servants to make complaints of reprisal. It investigates and can refer cases to the Public Servants Disclosure Protection Tribunal.

The intent of this selection process is to staff one position on an indeterminate basis. A pool of partially qualified candidates may be established to staff similar positions with various language requirements, security requirements, and various tenures (indeterminate, term, deployment, acting, secondment or assignment).

EDUCATION:
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in economics, sociology or statistics.
Part A Notes:
1. Candidates must always have a degree. The courses for the specialization must be acceptable and may have been taken at a recognized post-secondary institution, but not necessarily within a degree program in the required specialization. The specialization may also be obtained through an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
2. An indeterminate incumbent of a former ES position on June 30, 1967 who became an EC on June 22, 2009, who does not possess the minimum level of education as indicated for Part A above is deemed to meet this minimum educational standard based on his/her education, training and/or experience.

EXPERIENCE:
EX1: Experience in developing policies.
EX2: Experience in providing recommendations to management.
EX3: Recent* and significant** experience in conducting statistical analysis and in producing statistical reports.
NOTE:
(*) Recent experience is considered experience acquired within the last five (5) years.
(**) Significant experience is defined as the depth and breadth of experience normally associated with having performed a broad range of various, complex related activities which are normally acquired over a minimum full-time period of three (3) years. The amount, the complexity and the diversity of activities, as well as the autonomy level will also be taken into consideration.
