Intent of the process

The intent of this process is to staff indeterminate positions in the following locations:
Inuvik, NWT 1
Fort Simpson, NWT 1
Behchoko, NWT 1

A pool of qualified candidates inclusive of Public Service (PS) employees and Civilian Members (CM) may be established and may be used to staff future indeterminate and/or temporary vacancies in before mentioned locations within the RCMP. In the event of a temporary vacancy, the following staffing actions may be used and/or considered: acting appointment, term appointment, and/or assignment.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

Successful completion of two years of secondary school, or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience*.

*Candidates invited to an interview will be required to bring proof of their education credentials, in the form of a diploma or official transcript.

Degree equivalency

Experience in the provision of clerical support services.

Experience using word processing and spreadsheet software in a business setting.

Experience providing service to internal or external clients / general public, via telephone or in person.

If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)

Successful completion of secondary school education.

Completion of accounting and/or bookkeeping courses, or certification in accounting or bookkeeping.

Experience providing records management services in a records management role (services may include, but are not limited to, indexing, cross-referencing, filing, retrieving, retaining, archiving or destroying data).

Degree equivalency

Experience preparing documents such as letters, memoranda, briefing notes or reports.

Experience providing financial support services (services may include, but are not limited to, verifying and correcting financial claims, controlling and monitoring petty cash, preparing financial status reports, etc.)

Experience maintaining a law enforcement database such as: Canadian Police Information Centre (CPIC), Police Information Retrieval Systems (PIRS), Police Reporting and Occurrence System (PROS), Automated Criminal Intelligence Information System (ACIIS), National Criminal Data Bank (NCDB).

Experience transcribing from audio cassettes or digital media.

Ability to work with minimal supervision.
