Intent of the process

There is an immediate need to staff one (1) indeterminate position in Borden, Ontario. A pool of qualified candidates may be established and may be used to staff similar positions, with varying tenures.

Education:
ED1 Successful completion of a Forest Technician Diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution or an *acceptable related diploma combined with **acceptable experience.

*The acceptable related diploma is within the field of Environment or Fish and Wildlife.
**The acceptable experience is two years in the field.

Degree equivalency

Occupational Certification:
OC1 Mosquito/ Biting Flies Exterminator License
OC2 Chainsaw Certification.
OC3 Valid Pesticide Exterminator Licence - Forestry or Landscaping Class.
OC4 Ontario Primary Trapping Licence
OC5 Ontario Fur Manager Federation Membership

Experience:
EX1 Experience in forestry and Species at Risk.
EX2 Experience in tree felling.
EX3 Experience in reviewing project designs, plans, specifications and reports.
