DND and the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) are together the largest federal government department, and the only department where military members work alongside civilians. Compensation Operations is part of a national Human Resources team providing services to civilian and military clients across Canada.

Candidates working outside the National Capital Region are co-located with local Human Resources personnel in regional offices or at Canadian Armed Forces Bases or Wings.
Candidates located in the National Capital Region will be working at the newly renovated, state-of-the art National Defence Headquarters. Located at 60 Moodie Drive, NDHQ (Carling) is situated on 360 acres in Ottawa’s west end. The site is close to two major highways, numerous bike paths, and is accessible by public transit via dedicated bus routes. The complex consists of 10 newly renovated buildings, interconnected by a series of tunnels and passageways, and includes new fitness facilities, designated recreational spaces, modernized offices equipped with the latest technology and various food services including Tim Hortons, Subway and Starbucks. The Carling Campus offers the Defence Team a secure, collaborative, and green workplace that facilitates a healthy work-life balance.
The intent of this process is to staff 20 CR-04 positions across Canada with various linguistic profiles.
A pool of qualified candidates may be established to staff similar positions on an indeterminate or term basis within the Public Service across Canada.

Applicants must complete the Unsupervised Internet Test of Cognitive Ability - Level 1 as part of the screening for this selection process. This test assesses general problem solving and reasoning ability. You will have 60 minutes to complete the test. You must complete the test before you submit your application for this position.
