The Correctional Service of Canada (CSC), as part of the criminal justice system and respecting the rule of law, contributes to public safety by actively encouraging and assisting offenders to become law-abiding citizens, while exercising reasonable, safe, secure and humane control. Staff may be working in an environment where there could be offender contact.
The Correctional Service of Canada will periodically access the applications received and contact applicants selected for further assessment. This is an ongoing inventory of applicants used to create a pool of partially assessed candidates.
A pool of qualified candidates may be established and may be used to staff similar temporary and/or permanent positions.

EDUCATION
A secondary school diploma or a satisfactory score on the Public Service Commission test approved as an alternative to a secondary school diploma or successful completion of a provincially/territorially approved secondary school equivalency test, or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience
EXPERIENCE
Experience in the provision of general administrative support.
Experience in the use of various software programs such as: Excel, Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint.

Management has opted to use the screening questions and answers accompanied by the cover letter and resume as evaluation method for the screening process. Failure to provide this information in the requested fields may result in your application being rejected.

Candidates must obtain the required pass mark for each essential qualification in order to be given further consideration in the selection process.
