Occupational Certification:
Possession of one of the following trade licenses recognized by the Ontario Colleges of Trade, certificate of qualification or completion of *acceptable training in the following area:
• 403A – General Carpenter Licence
• Construction Technician Qualification Level 5
• Construction Technician Development Phase 2 qualified
*acceptable training may include Interprovincial Red Seal certificate
Experience:
*Recent and **significant experience in the field related to the trades license held.
*Recent is defined as within the last five (5) year period.
**Significant is defined as experience gained in doing the duties of the position for two (2) years.

Operational Requirements:
• Must be willing to wear and/or utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in compliance with safety regulations.
• Willingness to work at heights.
• Must be willing to be on a standby list and carry a cell phone.
• Must be willing to work overtime.
• Must be willing to work at sites off CFB.
• Ability to obtain and maintain the Departmental driver’s license (DND 404).
• May be on a call-in list and asked to respond after hours within one hour of being called in by the fire hall.
• Must be willing and able to work independently during normal working hours and when on call
• The position may be required to stand, climb, walk, lift, bend, pull, push, grasp, reach, stoop, crouch, sit, read, write, determine color, speak and listen for extended periods of time.
Reliability Status security clearance
Conditions of Employment:
Possession of a valid class “G” driver’s license without restriction issued by the Province of Ontario or provincial or territorial equivalent.
Must be willing to wear and/or utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) in compliance with safety regulations or policies.
