The intent of this process is to staff one (1) indeterminate position in Sylvan Lake, Alberta
A pool of qualified candidates may be established and may be used to staff future indeterminate and/or temporary vacancies in Sylvan Lake, AB within the RCMP. In the event of a temporary vacancy, the following staffing actions may be used and/or considered: acting appointment, term appointment, assignment or secondment.

Successful completion of two years of secondary school or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
*Proof of education will be required prior to appointment.
Experience in receiving and responding to enquiries or complaints.
Experience obtained within the last five years in the provision of administrative support services including two of the following: data entry, preparing correspondence, ordering office supplies, filing, and processing mail.
Experience in using computer applications including two of the following: databases, email, spreadsheets, and word processing.
Successful completion of secondary school education.
Experience transcribing statements from audio cassettes or digital media.
Experience working in a law enforcement environment.
Experience working with Aboriginal communities.
Training and/or experience in providing financial support services such as the collection and recording of monies received, handling petty cash funds, verifying supplier invoices, preparing invoices.
Experience in maintaining a law enforcement database such as: Police Reporting Occurrence System (PROS) or Canadian Police Information (CPIC).

Reliability Status security clearance - Successful applicants will be required to obtain and maintain a RCMP Security Clearance throughout their employment. Positions filled will have security clearance requirements at the following levels: RCMP Reliability Status, Secret or Top Secret. This requires a Security/Reliability Interview, and a field investigation in matters of Criminal Activities, credit/finances, education, employment, reference, etc.
Successful candidate(s) must meet and maintain the Conditions of Employment throughout their employment.
