Intent of the process

A fully assessed pool of candidates may be created and may be used to staff similar positions at the PM-06 group and level with various linguistic requirements and security clearances for various work locations.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in sociology, criminology, law-related field, psychology, political studies or some other specialty relevant to the position.

Degree equivalency

Experience in leading criminal or administrative investigations/reviews.
Experience in conducting interviews, in support of criminal or administrative investigations/reviews. Experience in writing detailed investigative reports containing findings and/or recommendations. Experience in making and presenting findings and recommendations to supervisors/managers and senior management, both orally and in writing.

If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)

Graduation from a recognized Police College in Canada.

Degree equivalency

Experience in leading or managing projects, investigations or “complex” files in an operational department/agency.
++ “complex is defined as involving multiple issues and multiple stakeholders” ++
Experience in researching, analyzing and providing advice on policy issues.
Experience as a sworn police officer in Canada.
Experience with major crime investigations.
