Intent of the process

The intent of this process is to immediately staff one FI-02 indeterminate position. A pool of qualified candidates may be established which may be used staff similar positions in Winnipeg with various tenures, language requirements, or Security requirements.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

Possession of a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation.

Degree equivalency

Significant and recent** experience in finance in at least one (1) of the following areas:
 Costing;
 Financial Planning and Resource Management;
 Financial Systems Development, Implementation or Maintenance;
 Accounting Operations;
 Financial Reporting;
 Auditing;
 Internal Controls; or
 Grants and Contributions

** Significant and recent is defined as a depth and breadth of experience acquired in performing a broad range of activities over a cumulative period of (3) three years or more within the last (6) years

University degree or two-year college diploma in computer science or similar discipline.

Degree equivalency

Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).
Certified Internal Auditor (CIA).

Experience in managing a costing process and developing costing and charging models or allocation methodologies.
Experience in financial transaction verification and audit.
Experience as an auditor of financial statements with an accredited audit firm (accredited to provide audit opinions by a provincial CPA body).
Experience in supervising staff including providing direction.
Experience working with SAP.
Experience in the review of contribution agreements, associated payment claims and in the interpretation of program terms and conditions.
Experience with administering time collection systems.
Experience within public sector cost sharing agreements.
Experience in making presentations explaining financial data, concepts, policies, applications and/or processes to senior management.
Experience with Cognos – Report Studio.
