Intent of the process

Although the immediate intent of this Job Opportunity Advertisement is to staff indeterminately, applicants should be aware that a pool of qualified candidates (fully assessed or partially assessed) may be established and may be used to staff similar positions at this group and level. In addition, this process may be used for various tenures, security requirements and conditions of employment within Health Canada. You must meet all essential qualifications in order to be appointed to the position. Other qualifications may be a deciding factor in choosing the person to be appointed. In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

Education (Stream 1 and 2):
A degree from a recognized post-secondary institution.

Note: Based on their education, training and/or experience, indeterminate incumbents of positions in the IS classification are deemed to meet the minimum education standard whenever a bachelor's degree without specialization is called for in a position classified as IS.
At the manager's discretion, an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience, may serve as an alternative to the minimum education standard.

Degree equivalency

Experience (Stream 1 and 2):
Experience providing advice and guidance on web communications

Experience (Stream 1 only):
Experience coordinating, assessing, preparing, adapting, and assuring quality of content for online publication

Experience (Stream 2 only):
Experience developing user-centric web content, which includes research and information architecture design

If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)

Experience (Streams 1 and 2):
Experience writing or editing web content for a variety of audiences
Experience using web analytics software such as (but not limited to) Adobe Analytics and Google Analytics

Experience (Stream 2 only):
Experience designing and leading user testing
Experience managing projects
Experience using a content management system such as (but not limited to) Drupal
