Successful completion of two years of secondary school; or a satisfactory score on the Public Service Commission test approved as an alternative to two years of secondary school; or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience

Degree equivalency

Experience providing administrative support services

Experience using word processing software such as Microsoft Word

Experience using spreadsheet software such as Microsoft Excel

Experience using the Police Reporting Occurrence System (PROS)

You will be required to demonstrate how you meet the education and experience criteria (essential and asset) for the initial screening, in answering online screening questions. It is NOT sufficient to only state that the qualifications are met or to provide a listing of current or past responsibilities. Rather, you must clearly demonstrate HOW, WHEN and WHERE the qualification was met through substantiation by examples. The successful candidate will be required to provide original documentation of proof of Canadian Citizenship prior to appointment. Other candidates may also be asked to provide this documentation at various stages in the selection process. The following documents will be accepted as proof: Provincial or territorial birth certificate; Naturalization certificates (issued prior to Jan. 1, 1947); Registration of Birth Abroad certificates (issued between Jan. 1, 1947 and Feb. 14, 1977); Certificates of Retention; Citizenship certificates.

Candidates will be required to show original proof of education. Candidates with foreign credentials must provide proof of Canadian equivalency. Consult the Canadian Information Centre for International Credentials for further information at http://www.cicic.ca/.

Candidates may be required to provide keyboarding results that have been validated by an institution such as a school or local career college.

If you have been recently assessed on the same qualification for another position in the RCMP in Saskatchewan, that previous assessment may be used in this process.
You may be assessed using one or more of the following tools: standardized tests, written exams, interview, simulation exercise, reference check, and other assessment tools.

The assessment board reserves the right to contact references other than those provided by the candidates (within the public service only), if deemed it necessary to conduct a sufficient assessment of the candidates.

Testing/interviews will be conducted at the location of the employer's choice

Candidates may be required to pay for all assessment and travel expenses.

The successful applicant will have to obtain, as a minimum, an RCMP Enhanced Reliability Status security clearance. The process also requires a Security/Reliability Interview, a field investigation in matters of credit/finances, education, employment, references, etc.
