This process is to staff the above-mentioned position. A pool of qualified candidates may be established to make indeterminate or acting appointments or deployments at the EX-02 group and level to staff similar current and/or future positions within Fisheries and Oceans Canada across Canada.
All federal organizations listed in Schedules I, IV and V of the Financial Administration Act (FAA) may use this staffing process to appoint a candidate to its organization in a similar position.

EDUCATION :
Graduation from a recognized post-secondary institution
EXPERIENCE :
Experience in leading the development of strategic and horizontal policy, business plans, planning frameworks related to a natural resource program at the national level
Experience in managing and resolving complex, sensitive issues related to a natural resource program, and in providing advice to senior management
Experience in consultation and negotiation with senior government officials, clients and/or stakeholders, public and private sector groups
Experience in managing human and financial resources
ASSET QUALIFICATIONS :
Experience in developing policy options in fisheries, aquaculture or natural resource management
Experience in managing national programs
Bilingual - Imperative (CBC/CBC)
Information on language requirements
KNOWLEDGE :
Knowledge of the priorities and strategies pertaining to the federal government’s agenda, and Fisheries and Oceans Canada’s role, with respect to fisheries or aquaculture management programs
Knowledge of departmental policies, strategies and plans that pertain to fisheries and aquaculture management programs and activities
Knowledge of Canadian fishing and oceans industries
Knowledge of fisheries management and oceans management issues and practices in the Pacific, Atlantic, Arctic and freshwater zones
