Duties

Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada's Corporate Management Branch is looking for talented and motivated candidates to:

- provide Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Procurement and/or general financial support;
- provide travel arrangements;
- provide general administrative duties (including but not limited to mailroom, shipping/receiving, ordering office supplies, etc).

The Corporate Management Branch is responsible for providing support through the provision of timely, accurate and relevant information, services, advice, and guidance.

Intent of the process

This process is anticipatory and a pool of qualified candidates will be established to fill future permanent and temporary vacancies.

This pool of candidates will be used to staff positions with various language requirements for the locations indicated in this advertisement.

In the event that an employee of the public service is qualified through this process, and there is a temporary need, the employee may be considered for acting, assignment/secondment or deployment opportunities.

Successful completion of secondary school or acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

Experience providing at least (3) of the following administrative or information management support services in an office environment:
• Data entry
• Formatting documents
• Records management
• Fleet management

Experience procuring goods and services for clients and/or financial services including accounts payable.

Experience using a financial management system.

Experience tracking, processing and verifying financial documentation such as invoices, expenditures, commitment, or acquisition card purchases.

Experience using Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.

If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)

Experience using SAP.
Experience procuring scientific equipment and supplies.
