Duties

Reporting to the Release / QA Manager, the successful candidate will provide technical services in quality assurance testing. Some of the key activities include:
- Reviewing and analysing user requirements and seeking clarification
- Preparing test strategy documents
- Estimating level of effort
- Developing and executing test cases
- Documenting defects
- Reporting on test results

Intent of the process

The immediate need is to staff one position with a language requirement of English Essential on an indeterminate basis.

This selection process may be used to establish a pool of partially qualified and/or qualified candidates which could be used to staff similar or identical positions with various linguistic profiles and requirements, security profiles and various tenures at the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions.

EDUCATION:
- Successful completion of two years of an acceptable post-secondary educational program in computer science, information technology, information management or another specialty relevant to the position to be staffed.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE:
- Experience writing MS SQL scripts and queries.
- Significant* experience in test management activities or processes (i.e.; Analysing requirements, creating test plans and strategies, preparing and executing test cases, creating and maintaining test data, executing performance testing, executing system integration testing (SIT), documenting defects using MS Team Foundation System Test Manager 2013 or higher).

* Significant experience is defined as “Experience that is normally acquired over the course of at least five years performing the duties”
