Intent of the process

A pool of qualified or partially assessed candidates may be created to staff similar positions within Health Canada and may be used as well by other Public Service Departments at this group and level with various linguistic requirements, various security requirements, various conditions of employment as well as various tenures as mentioned above. As a result of the potential and possible use of the selection process and subsequent pool by hiring managers, we encourage all employees seeking this type of position and/or group and level to apply.

Education:
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in economics, sociology or statistics

Note
Candidates must always have a university degree. The courses for the specialization do not necessarily have to be part of a degree program in the required specialization. The specialization may also be obtained through an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

Experience:
E1 Experience in monitoring, analysing and synthesizing economic and socio-economic research relating to public health policies
E2 Experience in preparing statistical data and analyses for briefings, presentations and responses to enquiries
E3 Experience developing and maintaining collaborative relationships on behalf of an organization with a diverse group of stakeholders
