Intent of the process

A pool of qualified candidates will be established from this selection process and may be used to staff similar English Essential positions within Department of Indigenous Services Canada in the Saskatchewan Region on a temporary (term) or permanent (indeterminate) basis. An Acting Appointment, Secondment/Assignment may be offered to qualified employees of the public service. Pool could be used for acting appointments under exceptional circumstances to protect employee’s indeterminate status.

EDUCATION:
Successful completion of two years of an acceptable post-secondary education program in any field relevant to the work to be performed OR an acceptable combination of education, training and experience. An acceptable combination requires a minimum of high school graduation with training/or experience relevant to the position.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE:
Experience in providing advice and recommendations to stakeholders on program issues.
Experience in contributing to organizational planning processes.
Experience in developing briefing and reporting material in support of policies and programs.
Experience in providing programs and/or services to First Nations communities.

EDUCATION:
Completion of post-secondary certificate, diploma, or degree in a field relevant to the position.

EXPERIENCE:
Experience administering grants or contribution agreements.
Experience in developing and maintaining partnerships or collaborative initiatives.
Experience interpreting and implementing policies, program guidelines, or legislation.
Experience working with First Nations in any of the following areas: Elections, Indian Moneys, Estates, Indian Register, or Bylaws.
Experience in the implementation of national programs.
Experience in dealing with Indigenous issues.
Experience in dealing with land management.
Experience with the delivery of capital or infrastructure projects as it relates to planning, design, construction, prioritizing or budgeting.
Experience with environmental regulations including the Canadian Environmental Assessment Act or related provincial regulations.
