Intent of the process

This process is to staff the above-mentioned position on a temporarily basis until March 31, 2019 and it may also be used to establish a pool of qualified candidates which could be used to staff similar or identical positions with various linguistic profiles, security profiles and various tenures within Library and Archives Canada.

EDUCATION

Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in education, library or early childhood education or some other specialty relevant to the position.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE

Recent* experience in delivering services to clients.

* Recent experience is defined as experience acquired in the last two (2) years. Candidates have to provide clear and specific examples in their application.

Experience using Microsoft Office Suite such as: Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Bilingual - Imperative (CBC/CBC)

Information on language requirements

KNOWLEDGE

Knowledge of the TD Summer Reading Club.

Knowledge of the project management basics.

Knowledge in the use of various technology such as service applications and web-based platforms and other devices, as well as knowledge of information resources (print and electronic).

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS

Experience in event planning.

Work experience with children such as: day camp or volunteer work in a public library, a school library or an elementary school.
