The intent of the process is to staff one (1) indeterminate position with a bilingual imperative BBB/BBB profile, and one (1) position for a specified period of 24 months with various language requirements (Either English or French essential or bilingual imperative BBB/BBB profiles).
A pool of fully qualified candidates may be established to staff similar positions within Elections Canada with various language requirements and/or profiles and various tenures according to the position to be staffed.

Education:
A degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with specialization in accounting, finance, business administration, commerce or economics AND experience related to positions in the Financial Management Group OR Eligibility for a recognized professional accounting designation (CA, CMA, CPA or CGA).
Experience:
*Recent and **significant experience in conducting financial audits such as compliance, financial or internal audit.
Experience in analyzing financial information, evaluating issues and developing recommendations.
Experience in providing advice to internal or external clients.
*Recent experience is defined as experience gained within the last five (5) years.
**Significant experience is defined as experience associated with having performed a range of related activities, which could normally be acquired over a minimal period two (2) years.

Knowledge:
Knowledge of the political financing provisions of the Canada Elections Act.
Knowledge of Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises .
Knowledge of Canadian Auditing Standards (CAS).

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION:
Possession of a relevant professional accreditation (CA, CMA, CPA or CGA).
EXPERIENCE:
*Recent and **significant experience in using excel at an advanced level.
*Recent and **significant experience using audit software such as Teammate, IDEA, ACL or others.
** Significant experience in using data mining and analytics tools.
Experience in quality assurance and/or quality review of audit programs.
*Recent experience is defined as experience gained within the last five (5) years.
**Significant experience is defined as experience associated with having performed a range of related activities, which could normally be acquired over a minimal period two (2) years.
Reliability Status security clearance
Availability and consent to work overtime often on short notice.
Consent to observe strict political impartiality and neutrality for the duration of employment.
A test may be administered.
An interview may be administered.
Reference checks may be sought.
You must provide proof of your education credentials or occupational certification.
