You must meet all essential qualifications in order to be appointed to the position. Other qualifications may be a deciding factor in choosing the person to be appointed. Completion of post-secondary education with a specialization related to mineral processing or a relevant technical science; or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
A minimum of three months experience, or the equivalent, in the preparation of ore samples for hydrometallurgy, mineral processing or chemical engineering studies.
A minimum of three months experience, or the equivalent, in laboratory work in hydrometallurgy, analytical chemistry or mineral processing.
A minimum of three months laboratory experience, or the equivalent, working with chemicals.
Experience in collecting, compiling and analyzing data from experiments.
Experience in rare earth element processing.
Experience in metal precipitation and leaching procedure.
