The Canadian Grain Commission (CGC) is a federal department responsible to ensure the integrity and marketability of grain for the domestic and international grain trade, from producer to global customer.

Intent of the process

This process will be used to staff 1 full time indeterminate position.

A pool of candidates may be created to staff similar positions with various linguistic profiles and tenures (indeterminate, specified term, acting, assignment, deployment, secondment).

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

Education:
Successful completion of post-secondary school or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience*.

*An acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience is defined as one of the following:
A. 2 years post-secondary studies and 2 years agrifood-related and/or quality management system experience, OR
B. high school diploma and 3 years agrifood-related and/or quality management system experience.

Degree equivalency

Experience:
-Experience in conducting training programs and/or making oral presentations.
-Experience in recording, verifying and developing spreadsheets to store information.
-Experience in improving practices and procedures.

Knowledge:

Experience:
-Experience in implementing quality or food safety management systems.

Knowledge:
-Knowledge of HACCP.
-Knowledge of Global Food Safety Initiative benchmarked food safety schemes.
