You must meet all essential qualifications in order to be appointed to the position. Other qualifications may be a deciding factor in choosing the person to be appointed. In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

Successful completion of an approved, post-secondary education from a recognized school in construction administration technology, or an Engineering or Architectural technology program.

Degree equivalency

Experience (EG-06 & EG-07:)
Recent* and significant** experience as a project manager in real property projects for projects ranging in value from $1 Million to $10 Million.

Recent* and significant** experience participating in a multi-disciplinary project team of public and private sector resources for the delivery of capital construction projects.

Experience in the development, coordination and evaluation of consulting services contracts and other contracts related to project delivery.

Experience in conducting quality assurance, control monitoring and inspection of project deliverables throughout the project life-cycle.

*Recent is defined as the experience attained within the last five (5) years.

**Significant is defined as the depth and breadth of experience normally associated with the execution of a diverse range of complex activities that are normally acquired over a period of about five (5) years.

Additional Essential Experience Qualifications for EG-07:

Recent* and significant** experience as a project manager in real property projects for projects with a value greater than $10 Million.

Recent* and significant** experience in managing a team of personnel involved in the delivery of real property projects.

Experience in provision of advice to clients in the realm of real property assets or construction/renovation of real property assets.

*Recent is defined as the experience attained within the last five (5) years.

**Significant is defined as the depth and breadth of experience normally associated with the execution of a diverse range of complex activities that are normally acquired over a period of about five (5) years.

If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)

Professional accreditation or professional designation in a related field
Project management designation (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2)

Knowledge (EG-06 & EG-07):

Knowledge of the fundamentals of project management such as theories, principles, practises and techniques.

Knowledge of real property management such as methods, practices, techniques, current trends/developments.

Knowledge of federal, provincial legislation, regulations and guidelines related to real property in Canada.

Knowledge of contract management and procurement processes, industry best practises, varying methods to procure construction services.

Additional Essential Knowledge Qualifications for EG-07:

Knowledge of fundamentals and principles of human resource management.

Knowledge of fundamentals of budgeting and financial management.
