Who can apply: Persons residing or employed in Montréal, QC, and within a 75 kilometer radius of Montréal, QC, within Canadian territory, extending to, amongst others, Hemmingford (QC), Rivière-Beaudette (QC), Val David (QC), Berthierville (QC), Granby (QC).

Duties

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

Drives and operates a combination of 12 wheel truck and trailer equipped with an extendable hydraulic crane (Pathfinder) and hauling 20,000 kg of certified weights. Operates the crane to manipulate weights of 500 kg by groups of four. Works collaboratively with a team of inspectors. Makes recommendations to the manager on truck and equipment maintenance. Manages email and creates travel requests, expense reports, and daily time sheets electronically.

Intent of the process

This process is for casual employment on an ''as and when required'' basis only.

A casual can be required to work up to 90 working days within a calendar year. A casual may work 90 consecutive days, a few days a week, or on call.

Ideally, we would like to offer the opportunity to someone who can communicate in both official languages (English and French).

EDUCATION
A secondary school diploma or employer-approved alternatives (see Note).

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE:
Experience operating a heavy duty vehicle with multiple axles, multiple speed transmissions and air brakes.

• Reliability check.
• Possession and maintenance of a valid Class 1 driver's licence
• Ability to manually and repetitively lift and carry up to 50 lb.
