Duties

PE-01
The conduct of research and analysis in support of human resources management activities under the guidance of an experienced human resources management practitioner to acquire human resources management knowledge and skills, and an awareness of the functions and interrelationships of human resources management disciplines.

PE-02
The provision of human resources (HR) management operational and program activities, advice, research and analytical studies, either at a working level with a limited decision making authority or as part of a departmental or agency HM occupational group-PE developmental program, in one or more of the HR disciplines.

PE-03
The provision of expert HR management advice and guidance and the delivery of operational services to an assigned client portfolio; the provision includes the resolution of complex, difficult and sensitive HR management issues, topics and cases in one or more of the HR management disciplines.

Intent of the process

This is an anticipatory process.

The results of this process may also be used to fill similar positions by various departments on a permanent or temporary basis.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in human resources management, labour or industrial relations, psychology, public or business administration, organizational development, education sciences, social sciences, sociology, or in any other field relevant to the work to be performed.

Note: Indeterminate incumbents of positions in the PE group on October 1, 1999, who do not possess the education level prescribed above, are deemed to meet the minimum education standard based on their education, training and/or experience

Degree equivalency

**Depth and breadth of experience will be assessed using your application, and may be further assessed using references or other means.

Experience in conducting research and analysis and developing recommendations in support of a project or program related to the management of human resources.
Experience in the interpretation and application of acts, regulations or policies related to the management of human resources.
Experience in providing advice, guidance and services to managers regarding the management of human resources.

PE-03 only
Significant experience in providing advice, guidance and services in human resources in an operational environment in the public sector.

PE-01 - $52,463 to $65,261 per year
PE-02 - $66,178 to $73,453 per year
PE-03 - $74,207 to $82,482 per year
