Intent of the process

There is an immediate need to staff one (1) indeterminate position in Borden, Ontario. A pool of qualified candidates may be established and may be used to staff similar positions, with varying tentures.

Experience:

For both positions:
• *Recent Experience using Microsoft Office Suite
• *Recent Experience using computers for communication, researching and documenting information

Specific to PG-02 positions: :
• *Recent experience in procurement, inventory, financial data entry, data management, and administration.

Specific to PG-03 positions:
• *Recent experience in writing statements of work
• *Recent experience in budgeting and forecasting
• *Recent experience in managing personnel
• *Recent experience in planning, developing, delivering and managing procurement of goods and services

*Recent is defined as experience gained within the past five (5) years

Abilities:
• Ability to communicate effectively orally.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing.
• Ability to effectively use reasoning skills to solve problems**.

• Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in the field of Business Administration, Commerce, or Economics
• Completion of Canada School of Public Service Introduction to Procurement (M718)
• Completion of Canada School of Public Service Overview of Procurement (C235E)
• Completion of Canada School of Public Service Legal and Policy Environment for Procurement, Material Management and Real Property (M714)
• Completion of Canada School of Public Service Procurement, Material Management and Real Property in the Government Context (M716)
• Completion of Financial Management Control Frameworks (F111)

Degree equivalency

Experience:
• Experience in Supervision
• ***Recent Experience working with Department of National Defense (DND), Public Service and Procurement Canada (PSPC), Public Works Government Services Canada (PWGSC) or Defense Construction Canada.
• *Recent experience using Defence Resource Management Information System (DRMIS).

*Recent is defined as acquired in the last five years.

11. Annual Pay Rate:
PG 02 - Contracting Procurement Services Supervisor : $57,317 to $65,440
PG 03 - Contracts Officer : $63,811 to $72,869
