Intent of the process

A pool of candidates will be established and will be used to staff positions within the RCMP in Prince George, BC, Kamloops, BC, Victoria, BC and Whitehorse, YT on an indeterminate or specified period (including term, acting, or assignment) basis, with English Essential linguistic profiles and RCMP Enhanced Reliability security clearances. The pool of candidates may be used to staff similar position within the RCMP in E & M Divisions on an indeterminate or specified period (including term, acting, or assignment) basis, with various linguistic profiles and various RCMP security clearances.

You must meet all essential qualifications in order to be appointed to the position. Other qualifications may be a deciding factor in choosing the person to be appointed. Successful completion of the Canadian Firearms Safety Course and the Canadian Restricted Firearms Safety Course.
Possession of a valid driver's licence.
Must work overtime and variable hours as required.
Must travel to work in remote, rugged terrain, and other locations as required.
Must handle firearms, as required, throughout their time in the position.
Must lift and carry 25 KG, as required, throughout their time in the position.
Must work in an environment that involves possible exposure to unsettling and/or graphic police files.

Tests

PSEE - Test of Judgement UIT

Applicants must complete the Public Service Entrance Exam: Test of Judgement Unsupervised Internet Test as part of the screening for this selection process. This test assesses the judgement required for solving problems in work-related situations. You will have 75 minutes to complete the test. You must complete the test before you submit your application for this position.
