St-John's : The immediate need is to staff this position on an indeterminate (permanent) basis.
This process will be used to create a pool of qualified candidates to draw from in the event of future vacancies within Global Affairs Canada with various linguistic profiles (i.e. Bilingual Imperative BBB/BBB, CBC/CBC or CCC/CCC), which may vary according to the position being staffed. Tenures may vary according to the position (Indeterminate, Specified Period, Acting appointment, Assignment, Secondment). We therefore encourage all interested candidates to apply.
PLEASE NOTE: This selection process will be used to staff non-mobile positions only. Being found qualified as part of this process will not result in appointments to the department's CO mobile pool.

EDUCATION:
Graduation with a *degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in a field related to the requirements of the position (e.g. Commerce, marketing, business administration, economics, international trade and international development),or an acceptable combination of education, training and experience.
*The term “degree” refers to a baccalaureate as established by educational authorities.
EXPERIENCE:

EDUCATION:

Certified International Trade Professional designation (FITT)
ASSET EXPERIENCE:
Experience in international business development and trade promotion
Experience in analyzing trade or economic issues, or developing trade/business policies
Experience working abroad

The positions that we are currently staffing are Bilingual Imperative BBB/BBB, however this process could be used to staff other positions that have various linguistic profiles (i.e. Bilingual Imperative BBB/BBB, CBC/CBC or CCC/CCC).

- For this selection process, it is our intention to communicate with candidates via email. This will include communication of screening results and invitations to assessments. - Candidates who fail to confirm their attendance at our written exam and/or interview will be considered withdrawn from the process.
- If a candidate is no longer interested in this position and has chosen to voluntarily withdraw, they must notify as soon as possible.
