Intent of the process

This process will initially be used to staff one position in Gleichen, Alberta on an indeterminate basis.

A pool of qualified candidates may also be established to staff similar full-time positions, on a permanent or temporary basis in numerous RCMP Detachments in Southern Alberta District.

You must meet all essential qualifications in order to be appointed to the position. Other qualifications may be a deciding factor in choosing the person to be appointed. In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

A secondary school diploma, or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

Experience providing financial support services including three (3) of the following: verifying and correcting financial claims, controlling and monitoring petty cash, preparing financial status reports, preparing a budget, using a corporate acquisition card.

Experience providing administrative support services including three (3) of the following: preparing documents or correspondents, electronic and or paper based records management, data entry, responding to enquiries.

Experience using various software programs such as word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.

*Recent and **significant experience in employee supervision.

*Recent is defined as within the last five (5) years.
**Significant is defined as minimum of four (4) continuous months.

If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)

Experience providing administrative support services in a law enforcement and/or legal environment.

Experience supervising a team of two (2) or more employees.

Experience working with Aboriginal communities.
