Intent of the process

A pool of qualified candidates will be established from this process which may be used to staff similar temporary, acting and/or permanent positions within the department of Public Services and Procurement Canada.

You must meet all essential qualifications in order to be appointed to the position. Other qualifications may be a deciding factor in choosing the person to be appointed. In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

Education:
• Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in economics, sociology or statistics.
Note: Candidates must always have a university degree. The courses for the specialization in economics sociology or statistics do not necessarily have to be part of a degree program in the specialization. The specialization may also be obtained through an acceptable combination of education of a minimum of 3 courses in economics, sociology or statistics and/or two years of directly related experience or training.

Degree equivalency

Experience:
Candidates must clearly demonstrate how they meet the experience required by providing detailed work-related examples.
• Experience in consulting with internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience in gathering, reviewing and consolidating information in support of issue analysis, project planning, project development, or negotiations.
• Experience planning and organizing initiatives or meetings for internal or external stakeholders.

• Candidates must obtain the required pass mark for each qualification in order to be given further consideration in the selection process.

• Depending on the requirements of the position(s) being staffed from this process, for current or future vacancies, any or all of the asset qualifications, operational requirements, and organizational needs may be applied at the time of screening.

• Original proof of your education will be requested and must be provided during the selection process, in order to verify that candidates meet the education requirement.
