This is an inventory of potential candidates to fill upcoming employment opportunities at the GL, group and level in ( Insulators, Carpenters, Electricians, Power line Electricians, Electricians in alarms and security systems, Refrigerations, Painters plasterers, Bricklayers and masons, Plumbers based on anticipated needs within the Defence National.
The inventory will be updated every 180 days. You will receive a notice in your applicant account 14 days before the end of your active period to determine whether or not you wish to keep being considered for an additional 180 days.

Provides skilled and general maintenance, repair, inspection, and installation services for National Defence (DND) systems and equipment.
The Department of National Defence (DND) and the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) work together to fulfill the Government of Canada’s mission to defend Canadian interests and values, and to contribute to international peace and security. DND is the largest federal government department in Canada and is part of the Public Service of Canada. Internally, DND and the CAF are collectively termed the Defence Team and civilians make up close to 25 per cent of the organization. As public servants and members of the Defence Team, civilians work side-by-side with CAF personnel for the defence of Canada and Canada’s contribution to international security and stability efforts.
This inventory will be used to fill current and future vacancies with various tenures (temporary and permanent) and with various security clearance requirements in the following locations: Bagotville, Montreal, St-Jean-sur-Richelieu,Valcartier and Quebec.

EDUCATION:
Possession of a valid applicable Provincial or Inter-provincial Journeyperson Certificate valid as an insulator OR carpenter-joiner OR electrician OR electrician and linemen OR electrician and electrician specializing in security systems installation OR refrigeration technician with halocarbon environmental qualification OR painter and plasterer OR bricklayer OR pipe fitter OR a military DP-2 equivalent qualification for applicable trades*.
* Note: Applicable trades for a military DP-2 equivalent qualification are Plumbing and Heating Technician, Construction Technician, Electrical Distribution Technician, and Refrigeration and Mechanical Systems Technician.
EXPERIENCE:
Have recent and significant experience ** in repair, maintenance, inspection or installation of systems and equipment related to the trade(s) to be filled.
** Recent and Significant Experience - Recent experience is defined as experience gained over the last 5 years and significant experience is defined as the degree and diversity of the experience normally gained by the regular performance of the said functions on a period of 2 years as a journeyperson.
EXPERIENCE:
Experience using Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.
Experience working related to the trade to be filled. (For example, experience in the use of generators and uninterruptible power supplies, experience as a locksmith, experience with energy management control systems, experience with fire alarm systems, experience as a systems installer, and experience with compressed air systems including compressors and compressed air distribution systems, experience with intrusion alarm systems.)
Various language requirements
French essential and / or various linguistics profiles, bilingual imperative.

ORGANIZATIONAL NEEDS:

Be able to obtain a DND driver’s license (DND404).
REQUIRED CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Security clearance: enhanced reliability or secret (Depending on the position to be filled)
Have a valid class 5 Quebec driver’s license.
Candidates must be willing and able to work in heights, confined spaces, and physically lift of up to 25 kg when required.
Must be willing to wear and utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Willingness to work overtime as required.
