ANTICIPATORY PROCESS:
A pool of qualified candidates will be created and may be used to fill identical positions with various linguistic profiles (bilingual, french essential). Tenure may vary according to the position being staffed (indeterminate, term, deployment, acting, assignment, secondment).

EXPERIENCE:
- Experience in giving advice or making recommendations in a work environment;
- Experience in applying and interpreting legislation or regulations in a work environment;
- Experience in gathering (collecting) and analyzing information in a work environment;
- Experience in using Word and Outlook, or equivalent, in a work or school environment;
- Experience in entering data into automated systems in a work or school environment.

KNOWLEDGE:
- Knowledge of the Corrections and Conditional Release Act (Part II);
- Knowledge of the Decision-Making Policy Manual for Board Members (chapters 1 to 4 inclusive).
ABILITIES:

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION:
- Post-secondary degree related to the duties of the position, including, but not limited to, paralegal studies, social science, administration or office technology;
EXPERIENCE:
- Experience working in the penal, criminal, correctional or legal field;
- Significant* experience using EXCEL.
*Significant is defined as the diversity and depth of experience generally acquired while performing the duties of the position over a period of one (1) year.
OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Consulting documents for long periods, which requires remaining in a reading position for an extended amount of time;
- Willingness and ability to work at a computer for most of the day;
- Willingness and ability to work overtime as required by the position.

OTHER CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
This position exposes the incumbent to disturbing, offensive information on a daily basis (for example: the description of the modus operandi used to commit sexual offences against children). The incumbent must therefore be able to perform these tasks objectively when exposed to such information.
