Intent of the process

The immediate need is to staff two temporary positions (one year). A qualified group of candidates may be identified and may be used to staff future vacancies (including similar positions, on a term, indeterminate, or acting basis, at full or part time hours) located in Metro Vancouver.

Once established, the qualified pool will be valid for a period of one year and may be extended.

Education:
Successful completion of secondary school education according to provincial/territorial standards or an acceptable combination of education, experience or training.

Degree equivalency

Experience:

Significant* experience working in PRIME Records maintenance functions including adding, modifying entity information and updating PRIME records.

Experience in providing client support (i.e. troubleshooting or resolving client inquiries/issues).

Experience in using Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.

Experience in research procedures.

*Significant experience refers to the depth & breadth of experience normally associated with performance of the duties on a continuous basis over a period of 12 months.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
The Centralized Transcription Unit operates on a 24/7 basis. Shift work required including working weekends and statutory holidays.

Other information

The successful applicant will have to obtain, as a minimum, an RCMP Reliability Status. In some cases/positions, a Top Secret Security Clearance may also be required. The process also requires a Security/Reliability Interview, a field investigation in matters of Criminal Activities, credit/finances, education, employment, references, etc.

You MUST clearly demonstrate in writing how you meet the Essential Education, and Experience requirements. Provide examples and describe the work/duties you have performed. Failure to do so may result in your application not being considered further during the screening process.

Any or all of the asset qualifications, operational requirements, and organizational needs may be used for the screening of applications.
