Be recognized as having full-time student status by the post-secondary academic institution at which you are currently enrolled (proof will be required).
Be the minimum age to work in the province or territory where the job is located.

Duties

The successful candidate will process murre samples for next-generation DNA sequencing, and use those data to assess the effect of Canada's murre harvest on breeding colonies.

EDUCATION

Enrolled in a Master’s or doctoral program in a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in biology or in another science field related to the duties of this position.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE

Experience in handling and collecting biological information from marine birds

Experience in processing samples for next-generation DNA sequencing

Experience in interpreting genomic data of marine birds to develop colony-specific markers
