Two years of post-secondary education or an acceptable combination of education, training and/ or experience.
*Recent and significant experience in conducting research, carrying out analysis and making recommendations.
* Recent and significant experience in writing of reports or editorials or education materials.
* Recent and significant experience in using Microsoft Office; specifically, Power Point, Excel and Word.
* Recent and significant experience in building relationships with stakeholders including other government organizations/agencies or nongovernment
organizations.
* Recent and significant experience in coordinating and delivering training.
Experience in the operation of pleasure craft or small commercial vessels or fishing vessels.
* Recent and significant is defined as approximately one year within the last three years.
Post-Secondary degree in education, communication or in any other field relevant to the position.
Experience in conducting public consultations.

Knowledge of CSA, 2001 and regulations relating to small vessel safety.

Reliability Status security clearance
•Travel for extended periods of time.
• Travel by helicopter, small aircraft, vessel and special purpose vehicles in various weather conditions and over various terrains.
• Board unstable platforms such as boats and floating docks.
• Work overtime and/or irregular hours on short notice.
• Possession of a valid Provincial/ Territorial driver’s license.
• Possession of an approved Pleasure Craft Operators Card (PCOC).
