Intent of the process

You must meet all essential qualifications in order to be appointed to the position. Other qualifications may be a deciding factor in choosing the person to be appointed. In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

Graduation with a bachelor's degree in forestry from a recognized post-secondary institution, or graduation with a bachelor's degree in a natural science from a recognized post-secondary institution combined with acceptable experience.

Degree equivalency

Experience conducting forest inventory or monitoring projects;
Experience using Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for forestry applications;
Experience managing large datasets in a relational database;
Experience analyzing and interpreting large datasets;
Experience working on projects involving multiple stakeholders;

Ability to communicate effectively in writing (this ability will be assessed via the application cover letter)

Knowledge of forest inventory terminology, techniques and technologies;
