TRAVEL AND RELOCATION: Candidates will be required to pay for their own travel (including travel for assessment purposes) and may be required to pay for their own relocation expenses.

The Office of the Chief Electoral Officer is commonly known as Elections Canada. It is an independent, non-partisan agency that reports directly to Parliament. Our primary mandate is to be prepared to conduct a federal general election, by-election or referendum. Our mandate also includes many other activities such as administering the political financing provisions of the Act, conducting public information campaigns, carry out studies on alternative voting methods and much more.
Please take note that MOST positions within Elections Canada are located in Gatineau, Québec while some are located in Ottawa, Ontario.
