Intent of the process

The intent of this process is to staff one CO-02 position on a determinate basis for a period of 2 years.

A pool of qualified candidates may be established through this process to staff identical or similar CO-02 positions at Natural Resources Canada with various tenures (determinate and indeterminate), language requirements (bilingual imperative, English or French essential) and profile(s) (BBB/BBB, CBC/CBC), security requirements, conditions of employment and locations.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

Degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in a field related to the duties of the position.

Degree equivalency

Significant work experience* in public or private organizations in link with the energy sector;
Significant experience* in developing and negotiating partnerships or contractual agreements with representatives of the private or public sector;
Significant experience* in developing and implementing commercial strategies and marketing plans for energy technologies or equivalent domains.
Experience in technology or knowledge transfer.

*Significant experience = 5 years or more.

Bilingual - Imperative (BBB/BBB)

Information on language requirements

Knowledge of energy efficiency in the industrial or buildings sectors;
Knowledge of marketing and/or communications techniques.

Think and act;
Communicate effectively in writing;

Interpersonal Relations;
Creativity.

The following may be applied / assessed at a later date (may be needed for the job)

Experience in Commercial law;
Experience in the development or implementation of programs within government;
Experience with heating, refrigerating and air conditioning technologies or intelligent buildings.

Be able to travel in Canada several times a year for periods of a few days.
