Intent of the process

This process will be used to staff the above mentioned position; it may also be used to establish a pool of qualified candidates to staff similar positions at the Office of the Registrar of the Supreme Court of Canada with varying linguistic profiles, security profiles, and tenures.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

Education:

Successful completion of two years of an acceptable post-secondary educational program in computer science, information technology, information management or another specialty relevant to the position to be staffed, or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

Experience:

Extensive and recent* experience in the design, installation, configuration and support of servers and services in a Microsoft Windows 2008 and 2012 server environment, including Active Directory, DNS and DHCP.
Extensive and recent* experience in the configuration, maintenance, and support of local area networks, including switches, routers and firewalls.
Extensive and recent* experience in the configuration and administration of a VMWare 4.x and 5.x virtual enterprise environment.
Experience in the configuration and support of a storage area network (SAN).

* « Extensive and Recent Experience » is defined as a depth and extent of experience normally found in a person who has worked for about 36 consecutive months over approximately the past five years.

Asset Education:

A university degree in computer science, information technology, information management or another specialty relevant to the position to be staffed.

Certification:

CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)
SSCP (Systems Security Certified Practitioner)

Asset Experience:

Experience in the configuration and administration of security software such as a web and email filtering solution.
Experience in the implementation and maintenance of an IT disaster recovery site.
Experience in the configuration and maintenance of an enterprise data backup solution.
Experience in the configuration and administration of the Exchange Server 2013 mail server.
Experience in the assessment and implementation of improvements to an enterprise network’s security.
Experience in the installation and administration of Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2010 and 2013.
Experience in the installation and administration of Microsoft SQL Server 2008 and 2012.
Experience in the management of the NetApp data network.
Experience in performing internal and external vulnerability assessments.
