Intent of the process

This process will be used to establish a pool of “partially qualified” candidates that may be used to staff similar positions at an identical or equivalent group and level with various official language proficiencies (English essential, Bilingual Imperative BBB/BBB, English or French essential), various security profiles (Reliability Status, Secret), various tenures (Indeterminate, Temporary) using various staffing mechanisms (Indeterminate appointment, Term appointment, Acting appointment, Deployment, Secondment, Assignment) at Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada.

"Partially qualified" refers to qualified on all essential qualifications except official languages requirements; the latter requirements will be assessed on a position by position basis after the creation of the pool of partially qualified candidates and once the right fit has been determined for each position being staffed.

You must meet all essential qualifications in order to be appointed to the position. Other qualifications may be a deciding factor in choosing the person to be appointed. Some essential and other qualifications will be assessed through your application. It is your responsibility to provide appropriate examples that illustrate how you meet each qualification. In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

EDUCATION
ED1. A diploma from a recognized college or a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with specialization in interior design, interior decoration, architectural technology, architecture or another specialty relevant to the position.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE
EX1. Recent* and significant** experience in developing project plans in the fields of Office Planning, Interior Design or Architecture.
EX2. Experience in monitoring the implementation of office construction or fit-up projects.
EX3. Experience in using computer-aided design (CAD) for the development and preparation of interior layouts, furniture plans, construction and detailed drawings.

Recent* is defined as having performed the duties within the last five (5) years.
Significant** is defined as depth and breadth of experience normally associated with full-time performance of duties for a minimum of the two (2) years.

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS

EXPERIENCE
AEX1. Experience in developing complex project plans (400K or more) in the fields of Office Planning, Interior Design or Architecture.
AEX2. Experience in construction or project management.

ORGANIZATIONAL NEEDS

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
