The Canadian Health Measures Survey Mobile Examination Clinic moves to a new location somewhere in Canada every six weeks. Staff is required to move across Canada to various work locations every six weeks. Staff is granted a week-end visit home approximately every 3 weeks for 4 days (inclusive of travel).

Working in the mobile examination center of a unique national study and continuously travelling to various collection sites across Canada.
Working shift-work including weekends, evenings, and overtime, as required.
Performing x-ray examinations following established protocols.
Preparing work space for testing, including setting up and calibrating equipment and systems and performing routine maintenance of equipment.
Logging respondent test scores and performing data entry.
Performing routine screening of respondents prior to physical measures.
Providing basic interpretation of physical measures scores to respondents.
Incorporating health and safety guidelines, processes and procedures in daily work activities and within the work site.
Following established quality control and data security measures, policies and procedures within the work site.
Carrying out administrative activities such as maintaining supply inventories, assisting in clinic set- up and take down, assisting in scheduling respondent appointments and other duties as required.
A pool of partially or fully qualified candidates will be established and may be used to staff positions across Canada with various tenures, security and linguistic requirements within Statistics Canada

Education
Diploma in Medical Radiological Technology from a recognized post-secondary institution.
Recent* experience** in performing x-rays on a human population.
Experience** following quality assurance procedures and x-ray equipment maintenance programs.
*Recent is defined as within the past three (3) years
**Experience can be demonstrated through employment (student or otherwise) or academic activity.
Experience:
Experience and/or certification with Dual-energy x-ray absorptiometry
Experience performing x-rays on children, individuals with physical or mental limitations or the elderly following standardized procedures
Experience and/or certification with computed tomography
Experience and/or certification with Phlebotomy
Ability to speak another language (besides French and English) such as Mandarin, Cantonese, Punjabi.
Bilingual - Imperative (BBB/BBB)

Knowledge:
Knowledge of x-ray examinations (including anatomy and physiology required for radiographic positioning).
Ability:
Ability to detect, observe and resolve contraindications to x-ray protocols;

1.Maintenance of a valid certification through the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) as a Medical Radiological Technologist (MRT).
2.Maintenance of a valid Basic Rescuer CPR and First Aid certification.

4.Must be willing to work shift work
5.Must be willing to work overtime, when required.
6.Must possess a valid Canadian driver's license.
Candidates must meet the essential qualifications to be appointed to a position.
