The intent of this process is to fill one position on an indeterminate basis.

EDUCATION:
Bachelor's from a recognized post-secondary institution with specialization in chemistry.
AND
Master’s degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with specialization in chemistry.
EXPERIENCE:
-Experience in the development of analytical methods by Gas or Liquid Chromatography – Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS or LC-MS).
-Experience in the operation, maintenance and repair of GC-MS or LC-MS.
-Experience in performing scientific research projects.
-Experience in the writing of scientific publications such as scientific articles, experimental protocols, scientific and technical reports or presentations of scientific conferences in chemistry.
ASSET EDUCATION:
Ph.D. from a recognized post-secondary institution with specialization in chemistry.
Bilingual - Imperative (BBB/BBB)

KNOWLEDGE:
-Applied knowledge of GC-MS or LC-MS analytical methods.
-Applied knowledge of operation, maintenance and repair of GC-MS or LC-MS.
ABILITIES:

ASSET EXPERIENCE:
-Experience with energetic materials.
-Experience in Fourier Transformed Infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy or Raman spectroscopy.
-Experience in Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) spectroscopy.
-Experience in thermal analysis.
-Experience in organic synthesis.
-Experience in statistical analysis.
-Experience in characterising new material, polymers, inorganic or nanometric materials.
-Experience in supervising technical staff.
-Knowledge of statistics and uncertainty calculation applied to the development of analytical methods.
